We had a great presentation night at Sheffield Wednesday this week. There were over around 80 children and 200 adults there, who saw work from 8 different schools.

The children who had completed the programme (PfS Graduates) received their certificates and some were awarded extra prizes. There were many highlights including Greg the Bus Driver, thanking all the children for their behaviour during the journeys.

We are at an early stage in developing this work but Miss Jackson (ICT and Maths Co-ordinator at Deepcar) and myself are thinking through ways in which we can involve children and parents further in the Playing for Success programme.

There are also another 102 PfS centres up and down the country including centres at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club, Silverstone, The Oval and every league football club. Let’s see if they want to get involved in our blogging!

Tonight is the award ceremony for the children who have attended the weekly playing for success programme at Sheffield Wednesday. The children have had the opportunity to participate in all sorts of ICT based exercises for Maths and English and even make a DVD of ‘Match of the Day’.

Tonight they will have their folder of work presented to them infront of friends and family. We wish them well and hope they enjoy their evening.
